Physical symptoms; irregular heartbeat, palpitations, asthma or shortness of breath, chest pain, sweaty palms, cold hands or feet, skin problems, jaw pain, reproductive problems, more frequent illnesses such as colds, flu, infections, problems with sleeping, back, shoulder or neck pain, tension or migraine headaches, upset stomach, cramps, heartburn, gas, irritable bowel syndrome, constipation, diarrhoea, weight gain or loss, eating disorders, hair loss, muscle tension, general fatigue and sleepiness but when you get into bed you can't sleep, blood pressure problems.

There may be problems in your social abilities/surroundings; more frequent arguments, loneliness, anger directed at unrelated situations, you may have trouble keeping a job, over reactions, conflict with those around you, an inability to take a deep breath and step back.

It is very important that you are sure of the origin of your symptoms. Going to the doctor to talk with her/him is an important first step. They may well want to do a few tests to rule out any other possibilities.

Things can often seem hopeless and as though there is no way out. This applies not just to the person suffering directly from the condition, but also to their loved ones.

Often situations get worse because you are too stressed or anxious to deal with the root cause of the stress in the first place. This can place you on a downward spiral which may seem impossible to break out of.

The majority of people simply don't know that there are ways in which you can learn how to deal with stress and anxiety and that you can actually learn how to change the way you actually react to stress and anxiety.

There are the well known methods such as exercising regularly and eating healthily. Which do go a long way to helping with stress and anxiety. However, they don't allow the real changes that need to be made, to ensure your emotional make-up and the way you react to stress and anxiety changes. Techniques such as hypnosis, hypnotherapy and forms of acupressure point tapping really allow you to make change easy!
